- Our Story
Communities know their own way forward.
Bangladesh Unnayan Parishad began in 1998 as a volunteer initiative in Dhaka, supporting families in underserved urban settlements with basic education and healthcare. What started with a handful of community workers has grown into a nationwide organisation.
Today, BUP runs education, women’s empowerment, health and climate resilience programmes across 20 districts — always in partnership with the people we serve, never in place of them.
